Deadly Shooting At Cps High School

Updated: Jan 25

Information has emerged to what lead up to the

shooting death of 18yo Maurice Clay on Monday. The older brother speaks. He says Chicago Police had just left the school minutes before the shooting started. CPD was called to CICS

Longwood H.S. after a "disturbance" inside the school, involving a fight between several students including Reese.

CPD says they've gained control of the situation when they arrived, but as one of the students was leaving, he made a threat and warned officers to guard the exit cuz "this ain't over".

Police then stated that they made sure to escort Reese outside and released to his 27yo brother Martell, then they left the scene.

The Martell says that's when a small black car with a missing bumper pulled up, someone got out the car and started firing dozens of rifle rounds at the brothers, then they fled the scene. Reese was

struck at least 15 times throughout the body and head

The incident was captured on school security cameras, and CPD is searching for that student who made the threat.

Maurice was an smart, talented, and athletic student, who was set to graduate in a few months. Many of his friends and relatives said he was a good kid that was never in the streets nor picked up a gun.

Its sad and unfortunate that our youth seems to turn to guns to handle their problems, then throw their entire life away. Our young boys need REAL MEN in their lives to help guide them down the right path
